Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.


We are currently seeking a full-time CSU Manager to be responsible for the oversight of all Crisis inpatient services, which includes assisting the Director Crisis of Services in establishing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with all applicable Crisis inpatient guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures. Allocating decision-making authority and/or task responsibility to others to maximize organization and individual effectiveness. Using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to inspire and guide individuals, gaining acceptance of ideas and plans. Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and oppor­tunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Ability to distinguish between and manage, in order of importance, specific tasks and responsibilities. The employee will be capable of maintaining a flexible schedule, which may include on-call responsibilities and the possibility of an occasional weekend shift.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care services, including psychosocial history at intake, treatment planning, individual and group psycho-educational and suppor­tive therapy, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure all discipline work schedules are complete.
  • Interview and recommend for hire Direct Care Workers (OH location only), Lead Nurse, Therapist and or Case Manager and Peer Support/Recovery Coach.
  • Complete orientation and annual performance evaluations for Direct Care Workers (OH location only), Lead Nurse, Therapist and or Case Manager and Peer Support/Recovery Coach.
  • Notify administration of position postings as needed
  • Communicate problematic staff performance/behavior as it occurs to DCD
  • Orient new staff to clinical, operational and safety policies and procedures, including utilization of the EHR
  • Ensure clinical capacity is maintained via monitoring of census in coordination with DCD and CRU Nurse Supervisor, including referral processing and analysis of AMA’s
  • Facilitate, not less than twice weekly, a multidisciplinary case conference with physician, nursing, and home staff.
  • Indicate review in clinical records by signatures on record review documents.
  • Monitor staff delivery of group activities to ensure compliance with program plan.
  • Report any incidence of staff practicing outside the limits of licensee and established areas of competency to DCD.
  • Responsible for assessing and proposing program improvements as needed in concert with DCD, CRU Nurse Supervisor and community referral sources to maximize access to services.
  • Maintain up-to-date daily clinic services schedule.
  • Select, train staff and implement clinical group protocols.
  • Participate in annual corporate program-specific budget and service goals and objectives determination meeting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatment protocols appropriate to services coordinated.
  • Make recommendations to the DCD regarding program changes and/or improvements.
  • Monitor staff activity in relation to established annual goals and objectives, as directed by DCD
  • Ensure that written policy governing program is up to date with respect to Medicaid CR guidelines
  • Participate as program liaison to payor sources, community outreach organizations, etc., as assigned.
  • Communicate census routinely with the organization’s designated pre-admission screening contractor and other potential referral sources.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings and forward meeting minutes to Adminis­tration within 7 days of meeting.
  • Complete meeting minutes per the organization’s policy and procedure.
  • Comply with the following QM requirements:
  • Satisfaction Surveys
  • Safety Drills/Exercise
  • Complete and or ensure that all admissions have documented authorization for services from the payor source for entire admission
  • Ensure that assignment of food ordering (OH location only) is completed as directed.
  • Implement changes in policy and procedure as they are provided.
  • Participate in internal and external auditing of clinical records.
  • Facilitate the completion of corrective actions required based on survey/ audit findings.
  • Refer informal recipient complaints to the Customer Service Representative.
  • Participate in all meetings called by the organization’s Administration.
  • Maintain a positive, professional presentation when in the community.
  • Encourage a cooperative working environment within and between staff disciplines.
  • Demonstrate consistent and professional written and verbal skills
  • Must have adequate visual acuity to interact with the Electronic Health Record System and accurately input data.
  • Regular and reliable onsite attendance and punctuality


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Understands the job duties of each employee and position within the department
  • Engages employees with sanctuary influence while enforcing a safe and professional workplace
  • Abides by the Equal Employment Act to develop, train, and assist each employee.
  • Furthers own knowledge, skills, and abilities to support staff, and Zepf Center’s strategic vision. As well as developing supervisory knowledge, skill, and ability to create a fluid source of communication within the department and agency.
  • Exhibits a leadership role within the department: holding employees accountable; critiquing and praising staff; assigning duties and expectations within the department; and enhancing staff’s knowledge, skills, and abilities by training, delegation, opportunities, and coaching.
  • Observes agency’s policy and CBA by appropriately establishing disciplinary actions and timekeeping of each staff member.
  • Meets organizational standards by efficiently and effectively completing evaluations that represent goals and discipline competencies.
  • Ability to comprehend department budgets and fiscal process. Understanding that fiscal recommendations need to correspond with Zepf Center’s strategic vision.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, specializing in psychology, social work, guid­ance
  • LSW or LPC required; LISW, LPCC, or higher preferred."
  • At least 3 years of direct experience providing services to adults with serious mental illness, of which at least one includes treating persons with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Minimally, demonstrate basic knowledge of diagnostics, psychopharmacology, co-occurring disorders and sup­portive individual and group treatment approaches; leadership and organizational abilities, ability to apply standards of care in written format, as well as through operations; ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team; and have an understanding of evidenced-based practices.
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
