  • Help to maintain consistent and resilient operation of DV data centers.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and cabling of switches, servers, and appliances, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Help establish and maintain standards for cabling, rack layouts, and overall data center operations, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Work to identify and implement strategies to minimize latency within DV infrastructure, optimizing performance and reliability.
  • Take part in capacity management and expansion planning efforts, ensuring scalability and flexibility to support business growth.
  • Monitor environmental conditions across all data centers, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Keep documentation up to date within DCIM tools, accurately capturing architecture details, procedures, and other relevant data.
  • Ensure the maintenance of optimal A/C and power conditions, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address any issues.
  • Help troubleshoot hardware and network connectivity issues, leveraging technical expertise to assist in resolving complex problems effectively.
  • Coordinate with remote-hands at other colocation facilities to deploy and troubleshoot gear, ensuring seamless integration and operation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data center engineering, with a proven track record of success in managing complex infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with HP, IBM, and Dell Servers, Blades, SAN, and Cisco equipment, including deep knowledge of internal components and configurations.
  • Proficiency in CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling, as well as SFP's and other optic devices.
  • Understanding of Windows and Linux server administration, including troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interface with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including both domestic and international trips.
  • Valid driver's license and passport, along with reliable transportation.
