Target comp range: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour

Position qualifies for annual bonus: $500 - $2,500

Who is the Accounting Generalist?


The Accounting Generalist plays a vital role on our small finance team, supporting a wide variety of accounting functions, including invoicing, billing, and reconciliations.


  • In this role, you can expect to:


    • Manage invoicing and billing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
    • Prepare deposits and oversee the associated documentation.
    • Conduct revenue and billing audits, along with significant account reconciliations.
    • Follow up and rectify errors and oversights during the reconciliation process.
    • Perform discrepancy and variance audits to identify and resolve financial inconsistencies.
    • Provide support for various accounting functions, including:
      • Filing and digitization of financial documents
      • Accounts Receivable (AR) management, follow-up, and reminders
      • Accounts Payable (AP) data entry / support
      • Processing and reviewing expense reports
      • Auditing and reviewing accounting-related policies
    • Assist with payroll data entry, journal entries, and related reporting tasks, including tax jurisdiction reporting.
    • Prepare and deliver various financial reports to members of leadership.
    • Engage in special projects related to accounting and expense control as assigned.
    • Undertake additional accounting, office administration, and general office duties as required.

    What do You Need?


    • 3+ years of experience in accounting.
    • Mastery of QuickBooks.
    • Mastery of Microsoft Excel including form / template creation and pivot tables.
    • High degree of deadline- and detail-orientation.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to take ownership of work and function with little direction or oversight.
    • Excellent organization and prioritization abilities.
