Job DescriptionJob Description

Ensures guests have a memorable dining room experience by providing food service during meals in a polite and effective manner. Fine dining servers may be located in one of our public dining rooms (Equestrian, Phoenix, Lafayette, Lexington/Kentucky), the Clubhouse private dining or the Corporate Box Suites. Must be available between 9:30am and 7pm.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set and maintain tables, glasses and small wares.

  • Ensure proper delivery of food orders from kitchen to table.

  • Communicate with kitchen staff regarding menu questions, length of wait, availability and special requests/dietary restrictions.

  • Check with patrons to ensure food and beverage satisfaction.

  • Operate and utilize Micros point-of-sale system.

  • Assist with room, table and seating preparations and clean up.


Qualifications - External

  • At least one to two years experience in a server position.

  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to both patrons and other employees.

  • Must be knowledgeable in fine dining service standards.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A Kentucky Race Horsing Commission license is required for all track workers.

A Food Handlers Certificate is required for all employees working with food and beverages.
