About This Position

Fresh Take Grocery is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to work directly with the Store Manager to ensure the highest standards of freshness, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role involves leading and inspiring store associates to enhance job performance and deliver outstanding customer service. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values efficiency and effectiveness, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience for both our guests and team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct store employees to provide outstanding customer service while focusing on sales
  • Train, develop, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve productivity and service goals
  • Set standards and enforce procedures to increase sales and maximize gross profit
  • Manage DSD vendors, ordering, and ensure deliveries/invoices are accurate
  • Maintain a positive working environment that creates high staff morale
  • Follow all corporate guidelines, policies, changes, and instructions
  • Maintain the banner's focus on fresh through Meat, Seafood, Produce, Deli, Bakery, and Dairy
  • Follow a weekly merchandising plan to emphasize the banner's focus on value
  • Ensure pricing is correct throughout the store
  • Execute community events
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal guidelines (USDA, GADPH, WIC, SNAP, etc.)
  • Handle customer requests, complaints, and other customer matters

  • Ability to understand ordering, computer functions, sign creation, forecasting, inventory, and email
  • Strong leadership qualities that help inspire associates to increase job performance

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
