Hours:
7:35 a.m. - 3:05 p.m. Monday-Friday (following the school calendar); 182 days per school year

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive learning environment.
- Support individual and small group instruction, reinforcing lessons taught by the teacher.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment.
- Assist with lesson preparation of instructional materials.
- Provide support to students with individualized needs.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times such as recess, lunch, and field trips.
- Maintain accurate information as requested by the classroom teacher.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young children.
- Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Must pass a background check and meet other employment requirements set by the school district.
All paraprofessionals must be qualified by Title I guidelines. Qualifications must be one of the following:
- Two years of credit in higher education (60 hours)
- An Associates Degree from an institution of higher education
- Pass a state qualifying exam within the first 30 days of employment at their cost
