Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity to empower students with learning disabilities in a nurturing and supportive elementary resource classroom environment?

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Boulder Hill, IL area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students by providing individualized instruction and support in a dedicated resource classroom setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of students with learning disabilities in a resource classroom setting.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated learning methods to ensure students have access to the general education curriculum and make meaningful progress toward their IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, therapists, paraprofessionals, and families to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment for students with learning disabilities.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, analyze data, and modify IEPs as needed to ensure continued growth and development.
  • Integrate assistive technology and support strategies to help students access the curriculum and participate actively in learning activities.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking skills, independence, and self-advocacy for students with learning disabilities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education for students with learning disabilities.

Empowering Learners in a Dedicated Setting:

This position allows you to play a vital role in supporting students with learning disabilities as they navigate the elementary curriculum. You will create a stimulating and supportive resource classroom environment where students can develop their academic skills, confidence, and independence with dedicated instruction and targeted interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois State Licensure as a Special Education Teacher with a specialization in Learning Disabilities or a closely related field.
  • Prior experience working with students with learning disabilities in an elementary resource classroom setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, special education methodologies for learning disabilities, and evidence-based practices for elementary learners.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs, data analysis, differentiated instruction, and utilizing assistive technology.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, general education teachers, specialists, therapists, paraprofessionals, and other school staff.
  • Patience, flexibility, creativity, and a passion for helping students with learning disabilities overcome challenges and achieve academic success in a supportive and inclusive environment.
