  • Experience in the field of vocational rehabilitation, behavioral programming, or a related field working with people with disabilities is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation, team building skills, integrity, and time management while being detail oriented across a large department.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between The Arc and funding sources, regulatory agencies, and people with disabilities and their representatives.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel for work, and ability to work in multiple locations throughout the community.
  • Working knowledge of computers, internet, and databases.
  • Available to be on call as needed.
  • Available for occasional work in evenings and on weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSILIBITIES

The Quality Assurance Coordinator reports to the Director of Community Support Services and is required to perform the following duties:

  • Administer the Shared Parenting program and ensure compliance with all rules including enrolling people in the program, ensuring all paperwork is complete and current, processing timesheets, and problem solving as needed. Complete home visits as directed.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and current for all individuals receiving Medicaid covered services through Macomb County Community Mental Health and services through Michigan Rehabilitation Service including maintaining a data tracking system to be prepared for all audits.
  • Ensure appropriate goals, documentation, and authorizations are in place through the Person Centered Plan (PCP) for all individuals attending Medicaid funded programs.
  • Educate Direct Support Professionals about appropriate techniques and methodologies identified in the PCP to utilize when working with individuals to support them in reaching their goals.
  • Review Service Notes, Incident Reports, and Recipient Rights Complaints for thoroughness. Provide support and direction to DSPs to complete appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure that the rights of all individuals are protected by following procedures as mandated by the Office of Recipient Rights, the Michigan Medicaid Manual, and Macomb County Community Mental Health.
  • Serve as backup to other Coordinator on the Operations team.
  • Participate in agency fundraising efforts.
  • Attend all trainings and meetings as necessary.
  • Carry an emergency phone as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
