In the role of the International Logistics Coordinator you will part of our international sales team and perform the following:

Responsibilities:

The International Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day facilitation of Goodway’s shipping logistics.

  • Serve as the point of contact on transportation rules and regulations for outbound shipment
  • Supervise orders, tracking details and arrange clearance paperwork required for each shipment to ensure they meet customs/ trade requirements
  • Ensure outbound shipments are picked up and dispatched by scheduled time
  • Monitor loads in transit, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Manage the movement of materials, equipment and supplies for all outbound shipments
  • Developed and implemented logistics strategies to negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders to secure favorable pricing and terms
  • Developed and maintained relationships with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
  • Performed analysis of logistics operation to identify area for improvement and implemented changes as needed
  • Interface with carriers to provide rate quotes, handle customer complaints or perform dock check requests as required
  • Understand security compliance and regulations within the transportation and logistics industry
  • Process and track freight claims.
  • Review and approve invoices resulting from logistics processes
  • Participate in invoice billing reconciliation and resolve issues as related to outbound shipments
  • Advise the Intl. Manager and Director on unusual customs problems and proposes solutions
  • Review and make recommendations on the changes of interoffice procedures to enhance customs service and to save time and paperwork
  • Monitors out of stock order and pending order reports
  • Receive and audit BOL/shipping labels and invoices related to customs and shipping services
  • Advised shipping personnel of customer’s shipping requirements and answers all manner of questions concerning foreign customs regulation and outbound shipping matters
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency

Experience and Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business, Marketing or related field is required or equivalent experience; work experience in a manufacturing industry is a plus.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task.
  • Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and the desire to take on additional responsibility.
  • Knowledge of an inventory system preferably, but not required.
  • Independent thinker and ability to demonstrate initiative in day-to-day work assignments
  • Articulate, with exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquettes
  • Ability to handle customer and internal situations that, at times may be stressful
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
