Were searching for experienced and knowledgeable Oracle and Pentaho (a big plus) resourcesIts also important that this person have great communication skills because the Developer will partner with the Product teams to ensure that the design and implementation of the reports is as per the business requirements.Coming from a fast-paced Agile environment is ideal

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

  • Oracle PL/SQL experience
  • Creating and modifying tables, views, functions, stored procedures, blinks, etc.
  • Coding of views, functions and stored procedures.
  • Able to understand table/view/ETL requirements and ask questions to better enhance that understanding.
  • Troubleshooting skills, especially in PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Pentaho (huge huge plus) - Installing, building Jobs, transformations, etc.
  • Familiarity with Transact SQL (MSSQLServer)
  • Building reports in Qlik would be nice to have but Oracle is the hard requirement

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

Develop complex Stored Procedures to support ETLs and Reporting

Develop and maintain complex ETLs supporting the reports and dashboards

Working knowledge of aggregating data from multiple sources

Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and executing extract/transform/load Pentaho (ETL) scripts and applications in

support of the reports and dashboards

Attain knowledge of the data warehouse, data mart models, and the business information maintained in each

Develop new and enhance existing standards, processes and procedures, and guidelines for ETL development using industry experiences, best practices research, and business needs

Adept in debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting PL/SQL and Pentaho objects

Design, build and deploy Oracle database objects that support BI reporting

Analyze, improve and report the performance of critical ETLs

Develop and execute database queries

Develop and update technical documentation

Practice Lean/Agile development methods and techniques

Meet performance standards in accordance to service level agreements set by the company

Understand business strategy and cascade business intelligence needs to the report

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field

2-3years of ETL Development experience

Proficient with relational databases, Oracle is mainly used (SQL Server is a plus)

In-depth knowledge of SQL

Experience with Pentaho ETL

Experience with data integration, data warehouse, and data mart

Experience working on high profile data warehouse projects involving ETL processes

Proficient in using ETL strategies and toolsets

Experience in Pentaho BI tool is a plus

Experience with Qlik tools is a plus

Strong logical and analytical thinker

Attention to detail

Able to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions

Can anticipate risks and mitigate in the moment

Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus

Strong verbal and written communication skills
