ABOUT THE ROLE

The Strategic Finance Manager will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing the financial backbone of our high-stakes AI projects. Reporting directly to the AI Data Centers, you will be a leader in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis, ensuring every project is executed within strict financial parameters and aligns with our aggressive strategic goals. Your role demands not just oversight but strategic dominance, driving financial efficiency and enabling the flawless execution of AI infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Budget Management and Financial Planning:​

  • Develop and manage budgets for AI infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.​
  • Perform financial forecasting, modeling, and analysis to support project planning and decision-making.​
  • Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and financial targets.

Project Financial Oversight:​

  • Oversee financial aspects of of the projects, including cost estimation, funding allocation, and financial reporting.​
  • Track project performance against budget and financial plans, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.​
  • Coordinate with project managers and teams to ensure financial requirements and constraints are understood and adhered to.​

Strategic Financial Analysis:​

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including ROI assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and financial risk assessments.​
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance, investment opportunities, and cost management strategies.​

Financial Reporting and Documentation:​

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics, project performance, and budget status.​
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of financial transactions, budget adjustments, and financial forecasts.​

Process Improvement and Efficiency:​

  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving financial processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms.​
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.​

Stakeholder Collaboration:​

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to ensure alignment on financial matters and project objectives.​
  • Act as a liaison between finance and other departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration on financial issues.​

Compliance and Governance:​

  • Ensure financial practices and project management activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.​
  • Implement and enforce financial controls and governance practices to mitigate risks and ensure financial integrity.​

Strategic Support and Advisory:​

  • Provide strategic financial support to leadership, contributing to long-term planning and business strategy related to AI infrastructure.​
  • Advise on financial implications of strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.

ABOUT YOU​​

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA designation preferred.​
  • 7+ years of experience in financial management, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and project financial oversight.​
  • Experience in managing finances for large-scale infrastructure or technology projects, preferably in AI or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting processes, and financial analysis techniques.​
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial modeling software).​
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.​
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.​
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to financial management and project oversight.​
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and financial integrity.​
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.​​
