Co-Op / Intern R&D Electrical / Controls Engineer

The Co-op program at Fulton is a great opportunity for students to work with a multidisciplinary team and gain experience. Fulton touches many aspects of engineering, from combustion technology to electrical systems to heat transfer to turbomachinery.
The R&D Electrical / Controls Engineer will assist in design and development of embedded control systems for use in industrial heating equipment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Firmware design and review
- Electrical communication interfacing
- Researching novel solutions to existing issues
- Reviewing and deploying potential user identified bugs
- GUI/Graphics Development
- Optimization and utilization of embedded operating systems
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):
- Pursuing a degree in Computer/Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Embedded Software Engineering preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Courses focused on Digital Electronics and Communication, Embedded Controls, Analog Electronics, Operating Systems, or Programming preferred.
- Software development (C, C++, Java)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Repetitive Motion – Substantial movement/motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers.

- Walking – Moving about on foot to travel and accomplish tasks, including long distances.
- Vision – Visual acuity is required to view a computer terminal and to analyze data.
