Qualified person needed to:  Direct day-to-day activities of Direct Support Staff with the intent of providing a clean and safe home-like environment that contributes to therapeutic needs of each person with disabilities. Ensure that staffing needs are adequately met.


Must be able to:

  1. Complete required documentation and assists with information gathering for Persons’ with disabilities assessments. 
  2. Act as a team leader and resource person for Direct Support Staff.  Assists in staff scheduling. 
  3. Manage persons with disabilities resources, appointments, and activity schedules. 
  4. Manage house expenses and debit/credit card usage. 
  5. Assist in maintaining health and safety standards for persons with disabilities supported and support sites.
  6. Ensure that all persons’ with disabilities records are properly maintained stored, and kept confidential at all times.
  7. Assist in establishing routines that meet all persons’ with disabilities’ needs and desires and to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, agency policies and practices and protection of persons’ with disabilities rights.
  8. Ensure opportunities to access to the community are scheduled and staffed; provide transportation to activities as needed.
  9. Schedule cleaning and home maintenance activities to provide for the health and well-being of people served.
  10. Guide and monitor the work of Direct Service Staff’s and mentor them in their professional development. Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate and professional; assist with information gathering to identify personal outcomes desired and effect of supports.
  11. Maintains and expands skills and knowledge relevant to providing high quality supports and services.
  12. Ensure that all home, vehicle, and personal property maintenance needs are addressed in a timely manner.
  13. Schedule and attend as needed medical, health, and dental appointments to ensure best possible health and safety. Supervise the administration of medication without error.
  14. Ensure fiscal responsibility by protecting agency and persons’ with disabilities funds from misuse. Complete all paperwork thoroughly, correctly and on a timely basis. Complete audits as required.
  15. Work assigned schedule and arrive to scheduled shift on time. Change work schedule as needed to meet persons’ with disabilities and program needs. Assist in preparing staff schedules, resolving schedule conflicts, and calling in off duty employees when needed.
  16. Actively nurture and advance the cooperative, harmonious and teamwork oriented environment Project ReDirect strives to promote within the workplace; Through daily efforts and presentation promote an atmosphere of dignity and respect in line with the organization’s mission, philosophy, policies and procedures.
  17. Perform other related duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.


Education and/or Experience:   Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited program with specialized training, and/or a minimum of two years' experience in working with the developmentally disabled; and/or any combination of education, experience or training deemed appropriate by the organization.  Must possess at least two years of supervisory or management experience.


Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: Must have valid driver’s license and clear driving record; must have cleared and approved criminal record check; must hold First Aid/CPR certification.

  1. Ability to prepare necessary reports and recording of persons’ with disabilities' program progress with neatness, accuracy and completeness.
  2. Capable of ensuring a safe, clean, orderly and normalized family living
  3. Knowledge of practices and techniques of programming for persons’ with mental disabilities.
  4. Knowledge of local communities and their activities.
  5. Knowledge in policies and procedures
  6. Ability to maintain effective verbal and written communications with staff, persons with disabilities' families, persons with disabilities and outside service providers.
  7. Must be flexible and organized.
