We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Graphics Coordinator to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving all technical aspects of the graphics area, including customer relationships, art files/designs, and implementation for both current and new jobs/products. You will coordinate graphic projects for major and smaller customers, ensuring integrity in customer and press-side approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Coordination:

    • Communicate effectively with customers regarding designs, graphics, and color issues.
    • Process new designs and ideas to maximize production efficiency while minimizing costs.
    • Ensure stringent color and ink controls.

  • Quality Control & Improvement:

    • Order and design cylinders to meet production needs and utilize existing designs when possible.
    • Secure relevant information for decision-making on new vs. old cylinders.
    • Implement tooling needs to minimize downtime and make-ready times.

  • Documentation & Administration:

    • Maintain thorough documentation of all graphic functions and customer-related information.
    • Control costs associated with graphic functions, including equipment, cylinders, and tooling.
    • Approve and manage invoices involved in the graphic/production process.

  • Productivity & Technology:

    • Utilize advanced technologies to enhance graphic functions.
    • Work with production teams to address printing issues and ensure compliance with customer requests.

  • Professional Development:

    • Stay updated with current trends and developments in the field.
    • Participate in continuing education programs and incorporate new knowledge into department procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Technical degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Gravure and/or Offset pre-press printing.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Proficiency with Macintosh G3, Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stoop, stand, reach, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Good vision, including close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Additional Information:
