SUMMARY

The Facilities and Maintenance Specialist is responsible for general maintenance and various daily tasks to proactively maintain all Veridian facilities. The position creates and maintains relationships with contracted facilities-related vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspect all facilities on a regular basis to ensure all building systems and operations are working efficiently.
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry duties as required.
  • Oversee all contracted personnel in the repair and maintenance of every facet of each buildings operation.
  • Assist Manager of Facilities in coordination of building and remodeling projects.
  • Act as liaison for janitorial services at all credit union offices.
  • Responsible for lawn care and/or sub-contracting of lawn care at all applicable credit union offices.
  • Responsible for snow removal and/or sub-contracting of snow removal at all applicable credit union offices.
  • Assist with the set up for credit union related meetings as needed.
  • Responsible for pickup/delivery of facilities related materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
  • Remain sedentary (seated) for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work both inside and outside in hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry conditions. The employee may also be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts. Work in confined spaces and on ladders/scaffolds is often required.

TRAVEL

Extensive travel; valid driver’s license required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities/maintenance or closely related field.
