About the Position

The Onboarding Coordinator plays an integral role in making sure new staff have and know how to use the information technology they need to do their job. This position will work closely with HR and hiring managers. Great communication skills are paramount for this position, requiring constant contact with recruiters, hiring managers, and IT staff. Under the management of the Director of IT, a successful candidate will perform most job duties independently seeking guidance as needed to determine the appropriate approach/action to take in non-routine situations.

Duties:

  • Coordinate with HR and hiring managers on all incoming new hires.
  • Create, modify, and remove, user accounts in Active Directory, MatrixCare, and other systems.
  • Coordinate with appropriate staff to have accounts created and ready for systems that are outside of the role of the IT Department.
  • Ensure any new required information related to technology needs for new employees are received from hiring managers.
  • Accurately document and track IT equipment issued to employees.
  • Work with IT staff to ensure IT equipment is ready on an employee’s first day.
  • Work with new employees on their first day and when requested for up to 7 days after their start date to make sure everything is set up and working properly with their new accounts, hardware, and software.
  • Provide training as requested for new employees on how to obtain IT support going forward.
  • Provide new employees with assistance during the first computer login, resetting password, logging into email, Teams, OneDrive, etc.
  • Stress the importance of IT Security and the important role each employee plays in keeping GHI systems secure.
  • Develop, update, and present IT section of new employee orientation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 1-2 years of directly relevant work experience required.
  • College degree with experience in business or project management a plus.
  • Experience in Human Resources or Administrative Assistance will be considered.
  • Must have strong coordination and organization skills with the ability to multi- task and independently prioritize workload.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and know when to escalate for guidance.
  • Must be able to collect and interpret data and develop reports, using critical thinking and analysis.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Teams.
  • Must possess a high standard of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Must be self-sufficient and self-directed and perform duties with minimal supervision.
