Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary:  The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process. This role involves identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent to meet the company's staffing needs while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of recruiting strategies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-person position working in our Southfield, MI office.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking events, to identify potential candidates.
  • Organize and host job fairs, attend community events, and visit colleges to attract potential candidates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional associations, and other talent pipelines.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate information.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely and constructive feedback throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings for potential hires.
  • Extend job offers and negotiate terms with selected candidates.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics and progress.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collect data on employee turnover rates, reasons for departure, and demographic information. Use this data to identify patterns that impact retention.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development of job descriptions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of recent experience with full cycle recruiting and/or Talent Acquisition.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment techniques and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed.
Certificates and Licenses: 
  • Must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR).
  • Complete the Safe From Harm Training and keep current as needed.
