What does a Restorative Aide do?

As a Full-Time Restorative Aide at Jefferson City Manor, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our residents. Under the guidance of the Charge Nurse, you will provide essential restorative services while diligently documenting residents' body weights at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals. Your regular meetings with the Director of Nursing will ensure that restorative plans are consistently reviewed and updated. You will keenly observe any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions, promptly notifying the Charge Nurse of any concerns.

Maintaining the confidentiality of resident information and adhering to their rights is paramount. You will assist with mealtime activities, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and actively participate in safety drills. Your commitment to timely communication and adherence to company policies will contribute to a safe and supportive environment for our elderly residents.

What you need to be successful

To thrive as a Full-Time Restorative Aide at Jefferson City Manor, you will need a solid foundation of skills and qualifications. A current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required, demonstrating your commitment to providing quality care. Strong observational skills are essential for monitoring residents and identifying any changes in their physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions.

Effective communication abilities will allow you to relay important information to the Charge Nurse and participate in collaborative care planning with the Director of Nursing. Organizational skills are key for documenting residents' participation in restorative care and maintaining accurate records of body weights. Additionally, a commitment to safety and adherence to health regulations is crucial to ensure both resident and employee well-being.

Your ability to foster positive interactions during mealtime activities will enhance the dining experience for our residents, making your role vital in their daily lives.
