Position Title: Sanitation Technician

Reports to: Production Manager

Location: 1720 Peachtree Industrial Blvd Suite A, Buford, GA 30518

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Purpose

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing mixing tanks, mixing equipment, production equipment, storage totes, pumps, hoses, and various machine parts. Responsibilities include cleaning mixing room, filling room, and manufacturing areas.

Essential Duties

  • Wash and apply sanitizer to all production equipment, process, and packaging.
  • Use high pressure units for general clean-up.
  • Drive forklift / scissors-lift to clean overheads.
  • Operate foam pumps to apply chemicals to all equipment.
  • Run tray washing machines following company procedures.
  • Operate floor-scrubbing machines.
  • Detail all equipment before deliver to production.
  • Work accordingly to Master Cleaning schedule (Loading docks, air curtains, lights, pipes, exhaust, drainpipes in shipping, etc.)
  • Rinse and sanitize all packaging lines before start-up.
  • Remove all trash and debris from all the packaging lots once a week.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diplo or GED

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Working quickly without compromising quality

Key Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
