We have an immediate opening for an Advanced Bookkeeper who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial operations and ensuring accurate & efficient accounting practices.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 430pm, flexible schedule

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient with QuickBooks
  • Skilled in Excel, particularly with pivot tables and formulas
  • Thorough with exceptional accuracy in financial calculations and data entry
  • Versatile organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and adept at problem-solving
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to excel in both solitary tasks and teamwork settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
  • Processing payroll in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, reconciling employee hours, benefits, and taxes.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and reconciling accounts on a regular basis.
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, highlighting key financial indicators and performance metrics. Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing variances, and providing insights to improve financial performance.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure proper allocation of expenses and accurate tracking of project costs.
  • Supporting the CFO or senior management in financial analysis and reporting needs. Assisting with the year-end financial audit process, providing necessary documentation, and resolving any audit findings.
  • Staying up to date with accounting principles, laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance in all financial activities. Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing streamlined accounting procedures.
