Position: Site-Based Maintenance Technician


Location: School Campus, Midtown Nashville


Compensation: $23 per hour, plus benefits


Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and building/site components.
  • Execute tasks such as wall repairs, painting, pressure washing, changing light bulbs, filter changes, and unclogging toilets.
  • Conduct routine inspections, including fire extinguishers, light tests, emergency lights, lavatories, and plumbing systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from building occupants and input data into the work order system.
  • Assist with event setups and respond to customer needs.
  • Support grounds maintenance as required.
  • Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Complete daily digital timesheets and work orders using a web-based program.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in basic maintenance within commercial facilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including email proficiency and the ability to learn online work order systems and building management software.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Must work on a smoke-free campus.
  • Must pass a TBI background check to work on a school campus around children.
  • A Valid driver’s license is required.

Physical:

  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, involving long periods of movement and activity.
  • Tasks may include climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and grasping in noisy environments with repetitive motions.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds intermittently.
