Production Floor Manager for Fence Company

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

As the Production Floor Manager at Bespoke Fence, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our fence manufacturing, production and installation departments. You will be responsible for managing the in-house production team, as well as providing direction to outside installers when needed.


You will set and maintain manufacturing deadlines, strict quality control and inventory management.


You will interface with Project Managers regularly, as well as the Chief Operating Officer.



Your primary responsibilities will include:


1) Production / Installation Management:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to stay aware of project timelines and to understand additional needs as they arise during the project process.
  • Direct the production team to meet production schedules and ensure fences are ready for installation on time.
  • Communicate with installation teams to coordinate material delivery to client sites.


2) Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all fences meet company standards and customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on finished products.


3) Inventory Management:


  • Monitor and report on inventory levels, and communicate with suppliers to reorder materials as necessary to prevent delays in production.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to optimize inventory management processes.


4) Communication:

  • Participate in Leadership Zoom meetings to provide updates on production status and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with project managers and installation teams to address any concerns or questions throughout the project.


5) Process Optimization:

  • Work with the Project Manager to understand upcoming projects and to manage team schedules effectively to reduce / eliminate overtime hours.
  • Understand all steps of the production and installation processes, and discover ways to reduce costs and timelines.
  • Work with Project Manager to understand ancillary material purchases, and present ideas for reducing costs on those purchases.


6) Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all safety regulations and protocols are followed in the production area.

Requirements:

-Proven experience in production management within the construction industry.

-Strong leadership and team management skills.

-Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

-Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

-Proficiency in inventory management software.

-Bi-lingual a plus (English and Spanish)
