Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment by:
Using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to:
- Answer agency phone calls, screen and direct callers as appropriate, provide accurate description of services, and refer to external services as necessary.
- Provide assessment, crisis intervention, safety planning, and education to callers, focusing on needs of the entire family
- Act with clients in mind and work to meet client needs and expectations to the extent possible.
- Gather initial intake information, connect with appropriate staff members.
- Accompany victims of child and adult sexual abuse to the hospital during work hours and on-call as needed.
- Resolve residential conflicts and maintain a safe environment while keeping clients in mind
Administration
- Partner with direct care staff to maintain up-to-date client files (may include electronic/physical files).
- Support office function by handling client and staff mail and maintaining supply of current forms.
- Increase community awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through interaction with callers.
- Promote and maintain professional relationships with coworker, staff, clients and community partners.
- Maintain up to date inventory of needed supplies for staff and clients.
- Adhere to agency procedures concerning documentation, Critical Incident Reports and Client Satisfaction Surveys and Participate in the Quality Assurance Process.
- Verify timecard in a timely manner.
Stewardship
- Support agency mission and stay up to date on agency policy and procedures by participating in at least 75% of scheduled agency staff meetings and trainings.
- Work at least four holidays per year and 16 hours per pay period to stay active on the CCS PRN schedule.
- Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
- Professional Development
- Maintain and develop skills and knowledge by attending trainings, team meetings and ensuring licensure or certifications are up to date needed for the job.
- Attend monthly supervision.
- Contribute to agency effectiveness by performing other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience
- Requirements: Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Preferences: Experience working with victims or experience in human services.
- Language: Spanish-speaking preferred
Physical Requirements
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lift, twist, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to perform an activity to determine accuracy and thoroughness of work assignment.
- Ability to reach, stand, crouch, walk, and finger, grasp, sit, twist, talk, hear, and perform repeated motions.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Employee must have access to transportation that allows them to meet all job requirements in a timely fashion. Position may require staff to work outside of the typical work hours as the agency provides services 24/7.
