Job Summary: The Senior Accountant prepares journal entries, takes the lead during month end closing, prepare account reconciliations, ensures data accuracy in accordance with GAAP, and performs account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct. This role works closely with the Controller and will support the month-end processes, perform complex calculations and reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for recording and reconciling invoices, payment processing, customer deposits and practice level accounting transactions, they will serve as the liaison between Operations, IT and Accounting.


Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities


The Senior Accountant’s principal duties are to perform the following functions in a timely and accurate manner:

· Handle daily/weekly recording of customer invoices and payments, review for accuracy and completeness and work directly with Office Managers to address any issues

· Support the Controller in the preparation, recording and reconciling of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses by compiling and analyzing account information as well as external data

· Record and reconcile third-party credit card transactions daily/monthly as needed

· Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies

· Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple sites

· Updates and maintains leases schedules, including monthly and quarterly reconciliations against invoices and assets/liabilities balances

· With appropriate supporting documentation, prepare journal entries to record rebates, gift cards, process refunds and issue invoices through company software

· Manages the bi-weekly payroll process

· Assist in the preparation of documentation for quarterly and annual external audits

· Other duties as assigned by Accounting and Finance leadership

· Regular, reliable attendance required

· Significant experience with financial accounting systems, ideally NetSuite

· PC proficient with strong experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

· Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills


Requirements:

· Associate degree or BA/BS in accounting

· Minimum of three (5) years of experience in accounting

· Experience in NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Office suite
