Role Overview:

As the Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the sales team. You will lead and mentor a team of SDRs, fostering their development and maximizing their potential to generate qualified leads and pipeline opportunities. Your strategic mindset, leadership skills, and passion for sales excellence will be instrumental in achieving our company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of SDRs to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  2. Performance Management: Implement strategies to monitor, evaluate, and optimize SDR performance, including call/email metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.

  3. Training and Development: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to onboard new SDRs and continually enhance the skills and knowledge of the existing team.

  4. Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and improve sales processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness in lead generation and qualification.

  5. Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, driving informed decision-making and continuous optimization of SDR activities.

  6. Lead Generation Strategy: Develop and execute targeted lead generation strategies to drive pipeline growth, leveraging various channels and techniques to identify and engage with prospective clients.

  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align SDR activities with overall company objectives and ensure seamless handoffs of qualified leads.

  8. Reporting and Forecasting: Generate regular reports and forecasts on SDR performance, pipeline metrics, and lead conversion rates, providing visibility into progress towards sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in sales development or inside sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience in higher education/education tech/recruiting, TA & HR tech highly preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
