Job Summary:

Maverick Power is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Process Optimization:

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and cost estimation for new manufacturing processes and equipment.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.

Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to streamline operations and maximize productivity.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and project updates.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), production metrics, and project milestones.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) is advantageous.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

  • Knowledge of low voltage switchgear or power distribution equipment is a plus.
  • Completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
