From your PASSION to ours

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for supporting the manufacturing teams with continuous improvement efforts and reducing overall costs of goods sold. This will be done by reducing environmental impacts by minimizing consumption of water and energy, increase raw material utilization (yield), reduce defects within the manufacturing processes and increasing overall throughput. They will actively contribute to the design and development of the Process for the Future.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality, as applicable and defined in plant and department procedures.
  • Identifies, leads, and executes continuous improvement projects that are focused on productivity with yield, operating efficiencies, and product quality enhancements.
  • Applies expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to improve quality, performance and yields.
  • Institutes and improves Lean Methodologies across the business.
  • Develops, shares, and executes best practices for all functional areas within the operations teams.
  • Uses data analytics to improve performance and increase efficiencies.
  • Performs business unit value stream mapping.
  • Provides in-depth analysis of machinery performance to determine process enhancements and works with vendors and operations teams to resolve issues with equipment performance.
  • Promotes a continuous improvement culture within the organization. Trains, coaches, and provides problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Communicates the impact of continuous improvement goals and accomplishments throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Validates equipment, process and product changes from a quality and performance standpoint.

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Food/Dairy industry preferred.
  • Requires theoretical and practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required, prefer Black Belt Certification.
  • Requires the ability to balance conceptual, “out of the box” thinking with practical, real-world solutions.
