About the Role

We're in search of an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our Founding Clinical team. This role presents a distinctive opportunity to influence patient care, collaborating with our team of clinicians and specialists, as well as Ritual's product and technology teams. Nestled in the heart of iconic Tribeca in New York City, our modern office serves as a canvas for creativity and collaboration. Our environment exudes style and comfort, featuring 8 spacious operatory rooms, a private staff lounge, and a patient learning hub for enhanced connection. This is an in-person role, based in our Tribeca office in New York City.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists and specialists in dental procedures including fillings, veneers, crowns, pediatric dentistry services, root canals, extractions, dental implants, teeth whitening, invisalign, ortho brackets and appliances
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans and 3D CBCT
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
  • Maintain patient records and documentation
  • Manage some administrative tasks, such as maintaining inventory levels, creating process workflows,
  • Provide mentorship to fellow Dental Assistants
  • Facilitate training and support new hires during onboarding
  • Collaborate with the Dental Practice Manager to identify opportunities to improve the patient experience and team workflows
Qualifications & SkillsMust Have
  • Must be a New York State Licensed Registered Dental Assistant
  • 4+ years of experience as a dental assistant
  • 2+ years experience supervising others in a dental office setting
  • Active CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration
Nice to Have
  • Experience working in a tech enabled company
  • Experience assisting pediatrics & other specialties

Pay, Perks & Benefits at Ritual

The base pay for this position is $30-35/hour. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our competitive benefits plans.
