Responsibilities

  • Work a large inventory of consumer apartment lease debts
  • Achieve aggressive revenue goals
  • Make or take not less than 200 calls a day
  • Pursue declined payments effectively and vigorously
  • Probe parties named on applications for location information
  • Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
  • Handle questions or complaints
  • Identify accounts which require reinvestigation
  • Update account status on a sophisticated consumer management software system
  • Adhere to a strict schedule with a minimum of alteration
  • Function as a member of a team

Skills

  • Proven experience as Debt Collector preferred
  • Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
  • Ability to embrace change
  • Basic computer and phone skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Apt in negotiating and persuading
  • Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence
  • High school diploma is preferred
  • Compliance with all state and federal laws, doctrines, and regulations governing debt collection

Requirements

  • Able to pass a background check
  • Dependable transportation: we are not directly accessible by MARTA
  • Available to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Rapid learning curve with ability to handle intensive training requirements
