Medical Specimen Collector

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at LabCorp. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and being the face of the company.
As a Medical Specimen Collector, you will work in a client office, interacting with patients and clients to collect blood and other specimens for testing. You will also be responsible for processing billing information and collecting payments when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other medical procedures.
- Processing billing information and collecting payments when required.
- Preparing all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintaining patient and specimen information logs.
- Providing superior customer service to all patients.
Requirements for this role include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
