Electrical Engineer

- Lead cross-functional engineering teams in the design, development, prototyping, and testing of new products within budget and schedule constraints.
- Generate system block diagrams, schematics, design documentation, and other engineering artifacts necessary for thorough product development documentation.
- Ensure design compliance through analysis using hand calculations, circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSPICE), and PLD simulation tools.
- Review design specifications to understand customer requirements and support Sales in preparing proposals for prospective customer RFQs/RFPs.
- Identify areas for improvement in the engineering design process and provide actionable suggestions.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and designers on products, processes, and tools.
- Support the Production team in resolving issues related to the manufacturing of new and existing products.
- Generate product Bills of Materials, execute Engineering Change Requests, and enter them into the ERP system (Visual Manufacturing).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- 5+ years of product design experience with electrical or electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in the use of schematic capture, circuit simulation, and other design software.
- Experience in hardware design and development of microcontroller-based embedded control systems for instrumentation and control applications.
- Proficiency in software design and development of microcontroller-based embedded control systems using ANSI C and Java.
- Experience in the development of analog I/O interfaces, including A/D and D/A interfaces for embedded processor and/or PLD systems.
- Experience in selecting and programming PLD devices using VHDL.
- Experience in EMI mitigation design, particularly with MIL-DTL-461 compliance.
- Experience working with 480 VAC, 3-phase power systems.
- Knowledge of industry specifications, including NEMA, UL, and MIL specs and standards.
