Program Management Analyst – Digital Services Modernization 

Position Description:

Sprezzatura is seeking an associate Program Manager to support project managers under the digital modernization portfolio within the Veterans Benefits Administration's Compensation Service line of business.

Associate project managers serve as a medium between a project manager and the rest of the team working on a given project with a focus on operational activities. The qualities to excel include the ability to work under pressure and shifting priorities, excellent planning and organizational skills, and a keen eye for details.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand a project’s scope and create documents including but not limited to project plans, schedules, reports, risk registers, action item trackers etc. using tools like Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Facilitate meetings across project stakeholders
  • Monitor projects on a regular basis, evaluating progress and quality, risks, and managing issue resolution process to ensure corrective actions are taken
  • Maintain the quality of all project document/data to assure the integrity of a project
  • Work with the project manager to report analyzed data and communicate results
  • Adhere to standardized format guidelines
  • Develop additional tools and refine processes to help all projects run effectively including tracking and managing action items and deliverables from team members
  • Coordinate schedule of activities related to the project
  • Help to record achievements, expenses, and measures for success
  • Minimize inconsistency using strict change control processes and documentation and also establish an environment of planned/unplanned collaboration and communication through status reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field such as Engineering or Business Administration with a preference for advanced degrees in business or technology.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in program management within the government contracting sectors preferably Department of Veterans Affairs
