We are looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to help introduce methodologies, processes and tools to balance needs throughout the software development lifecycle, supporting our state-of-the-art, proprietary marketing platform: Alli. Read more about Alli on the Alli microsite here.

As part of our process, should you have a successful interview with the hiring manager, you will be required to complete and register a specific score on a CodeSignal, General Coding assessment. You will have the option to complete the assessment from a variety of programming languages, in order to ensure you are taking the assessment using a language you are most experienced with.

Core Technologies We Use

  • AWS and GCP
  • PHP, JavaScript/React, Go, Python and R
  • Redshift, Postgres, Mongo, Redis, etc.
  • ECS, Terraform, GitHub
  • SCRUM-inspired agile development process.

We are looking a Site Reliability Engineer who will bring the following:

  • Passion for solving challenging problems by delivering clean and performant code
  • Profound understanding of distributed system design and data intensive applications
  • SOLID software engineering expertise (OOA/OOD, TDD, CI/CD)
  • Strong adherence to agile values
  • Team-first, proactive approach to work and great communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, designing, developing and maintaining Alli Infrastructure
  • Participate in agile processes and ceremonies
  • Mentor junior developers, through the act of leading code reviews, and providing critical feedback to fellow developers
  • Optimize application infrastructure for the best user experience
  • Ensure Platform availability SLA
  • Design, implement, and support system monitoring infrastructure

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a SRE
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform)
  • 3+ years experience using build and deployment tools (Travis, Github Actions, AWS Code Deploy)
  • 4+ years experience with coding and scripting (Python, NodeJS, Ruby, Bash or similar)
  • 4+ years experience with monitoring and logging platforms (Cloudwatch, Grafana, Datadog, Sumologic, Splunk, etc.)
  • 4+ years experience with Configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Not required, but highly preferred certifications

  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certification
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification
