Position Summary

Infleqtion is seeking an exceptional and experienced Staff Electrical Engineer with significant analog, RF, and signal processing experience to support product development and strategy, delivery, and volume ramp up of new products. The Staff Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading technical direction and mentoring engineers to deliver reliable and performant quantum control systems. In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate with researchers, other engineers, and manufacturing to bring Infleqtion’s disruptive quantum technologies to market. The individual in this role has significant opportunity to influence Infleqtion’s product development and to further Infleqtion’s leadership in quantum technologies.

Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities outlined below include essential functions of the role. Depending on business needs, this role may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned.

  • Contribute to modelling, analysis, and simulation efforts to optimize analog and digital control systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propagate system requirements to electrical specifications
  • Participate in Infleqtion’s Product Lifecycle Process and supporting phase gate reviews, critical design reviews, and executive updates
  • Coaching and mentoring of engineers and technical staff
  • Electronics and microsystems design, test, and verification, including digital, mixed-signal, and analog electronics from DC to RF frequencies
  • Other duties as assigned or required

**You may notice that we have posted 2 different positions; this position (Staff Electrical Engineer) and Sr. Electrical Engineer. We are evaluating candidates of both levels to fill one position.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, with a focus in electrical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, electro-optical engineering, RF engineering, or embedded systems engineering
  • 12+ years of relevant and progressive experience in similar roles
  • Experience with mixed-signal design and integration of analog and digital systems spanning DC to microwave frequencies
  • Familiarity with signal integrity and EMC/EMI considerations
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE)
  • Desire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and complex topics quickly
  • Passion for solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and (potentially) internationally up to 10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, electro-optical engineering, RF engineering, or embedded systems engineering
  • Proficiency with EDA CAD tools for PCB design, especially Altium
  • Experience in hardware DFx (Design for cost, manufacturing, assembly, test, sustainment)
  • Experience working with complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware, and software. Knowledge of best practices in software engineering is a plus
  • Familiarity with electro-optical design and integrated photonics
  • Familiarity with quantum computing, mechanics, or physics
