At Shea Writing and Training Solutions, we specialize in providing top-notch technical documentation services for the LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) industry. We are dedicated to delivering clear, accurate, and comprehensive documents to support our clients' operations. Our team is committed to excellence, and we are looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee the development of critical LNG documentation. 

Position Summary 

The Project Manager will oversee the development of 300 technical documents related to LNG operations, including Plant Operations Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and Corrective Maintenance and Repair Procedures. This role will involve managing a team of 4 technical writers, 2 editors, and 3 subject matter experts. The Project Manager will ensure that all documents are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Operations Manager and the client, focusing on key performance indicators such as customer satisfaction, document quality, and adherence to project timelines and budgets. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of 300 LNG-related documents, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgets. 

  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of 4 technical writers, 2 editors, and 3 subject matter experts to ensure the successful completion of all project deliverables. 

  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and the client, addressing any concerns, providing project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction. 

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all documents meet the company’s quality standards and client specifications, including thorough reviews and revisions. 

  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenses, manage budget allocations, and ensure that all project costs are controlled and reported accurately. 

  • Timeline Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track. 

  • Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the Operations Manager and client, highlighting project status, risks, and mitigation strategies. 

  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery. 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

  • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication, timely delivery, and high-quality documentation. 

  • Document Quality: Maintain and exceed quality standards for all project documents, including accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards. 

  • On-Time Delivery: Ensure all documents are completed and delivered according to the established project timeline. 

  • Budget Adherence: Manage project expenses to stay within the allocated budget, reporting any deviations and implementing corrective measures as needed. 

Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in technical writing and documentation. Experience in the LNG industry is highly desirable. 

  • Skills: 

  • Proven leadership and team management skills. 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools. 

  • Ability to manage budgets and project timelines effectively.
