Job Title : Financial System Data Analyst

Job Type : C2C/1099

Experience : 8-10 Years

Location : Remote (Parsippany-New Jersy Rhode Island)

We are looking for financial system data analyst who will be responsible for analyzing financial systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting financial reporting and decision-making processes. The candidate will have a strong background in finance, data analysis, and information systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience and background in accounting.
  • Experience with corporate investment accounts or fund accounting is not a requirement.
  • Experience conducting financial analysis and reconciliation is required.
  • Experience with financial reporting, including the use of financial reporting systems, is required.
  • Strong data analytic skills, prior experience loading and processing data into financial systems, financial auditing, and the ability to do financial testing and reconciliation are a must for candidates.
  • Software configuration experience with financial packages and BI reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Oracle SQL Developer experience is a plus. Strong SQL query abilities are a must.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, financial testing, and writing financial accounting system requirements characterizes this Financial Systems Data Analyst.
  • Solid experience in finance and accounting; familiarity with insurance accounts is a plus.
  • Is a subject matter expert with practical accounting experience, having worked with month-end and year-end close, handled charts of accounts, reconciled financial transactions, general ledger & processes, and related accounting standards. In order to provide financial testing, the ability to define testing expected results is required.
  • Recognize how to apply accounting policies and guidelines to establish journal debit and credit lines for different occurrences based on the financial life cycle.
  • Record the requirements for any improvements or modifications to the financial system.
  • Utilize tools, technologies, and technologies for loading, extracting, and transferring data (Service Gateway, ETL tools).
  • Work with component architectures, data warehouses, data marts, accounting engines, and sub-ledgers to analyze, test, and deploy data-driven solutions.
  • Utilize your understanding of relational databases and good SQL skills while crafting queries.
  • Analysis of business and processes, including documentation of structures
  • Find and fix inconsistencies in accounting data.
  • Create test data, acceptance criteria, expected outcomes, and financial test scenarios.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting desired.
