POSITION PUMMARY

Kelvion one of the leading global and domestic manufacturers of heat exchangers is seeking to hire a self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented Brazing Technician. This individual will verify that orders are welded and assembled according to the specifications called out on the correct manufacturing drawings and work routers. The brazing technician is responsible for maintaining 5-S within their department.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To ensure that units are properly and safely brazed and assembled according to the correct manufacturing drawing that corresponds to the part number being assigned.

To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, safety and functionality, is incorporated into every product we produce and provide to our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Participate in the brazing departments’ team goals and ship orders accurate according to print and on time according to the production schedule

  • Work with engineering department to revise prints or report discrepancies on the router or bill of material.

· Ensure the correct parts are issued to the job and follow all dimensions on the manufacturing drawings

· Follow daily priorities and check with supervisor for other instructions

  • Follow process control plans, routings, and work instructions
  • Ensure parts are consistently brazed, and built to print
  • All other duties as assigned

GROWTH EXPECATIONS

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing environment preferred
  • 1-year prior brazing experience preferred

ADDITIONAL SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and team oriented
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to comprehend engineering drawings routings, bill of materials, and work instructions
  • Proven ability in brazing, specializing in copper, preferred
  • Exhibit good interpersonal skills, technical skills, and communication skills
  • Must have the ability to become company-certified in overhead crane usage. Company cranes are controlled remotely from the ground.
  • Ability to deal with change and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain consistent braze patterns
    • Show attention to detail
