Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician III

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week, Rotating Days and Nights

Pay Range: $17 to $26 per hour


Job Overview:


As a Medical Laboratory Technician III, you will play a critical role in our diagnostic team, performing a variety of laboratory tests to aid in patient care. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold the highest standards of laboratory practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct and analyze laboratory assays with precision and accuracy in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Follow stringent quality control and quality assurance protocols to guarantee the reliability of results.
  • Implement safety and infection control measures to protect patients and staff.
  • Manage laboratory supply inventory to ensure adequate stock for operations.
  • Foster collaborative relationships within the laboratory team and with other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the training and development of staff and participate in educational and project initiatives to advance laboratory practices.


Essential Skills and Attributes:


  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and critical thinking to interpret test results.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to healthcare professionals and staff.
  • Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to support and lead in a dynamic environment.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Certification/License/Registration:

  • Certified as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized certifying agency.
