We have an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Helper.

  • Do you enjoy working on machinery? We are looking for someone that loves to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment. If you would rather fix your own car than take it to a mechanic, we want to speak with you
  • If you like a variety of duties, this is the perfect role for you. As our Maintenance Helper, you will work alongside our maintenance crew member helping to maintain our Shredder Machine. But at times, you may be asked to help with other production duties such as sorting metal, operating equipment, to even pushing a broom when needed.
  • Are you looking for a fun opportunity to develop your mechanical knowledge and skills? Since we are looking for an individual that doesn't necessarily have mechanical degrees or certifications, this is a great opportunity to learn valuable mechanical skills. In addition to personal skills, you will be able to learn and gain knowledge about the scrap metal recycling industry.
  • Do you like being outside and being physically active? Our maintenance mechanic will be able to be on their feet all day, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling under and over pieces of machinery, and you will be outside.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • At least one (1) year of some type of mechanical work, whether on your own or as a profession.
  • Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, consult, and repair equipment.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good attendance and punctuality is a must. Our Shredder is a valuable piece of equipment vital to our success as a company and needs constant care and love.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to cooperate with others.
  • Safety minded, safety goal oriented
