Position Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas of the hotel meet Hyatt's cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry personnel.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Train, mentor, and develop housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling and assigning daily tasks to housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and effective use of labor.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, and coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper to order and replenish stock as needed.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other HR-related activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent 
  • Experience in customer service, forward-facing, or other guest related positions 
  • Experience cleaning in a customer focused environment
  • Experience in the hospitality industry as a room attendant or similar role preferred
  • Experience supervising others preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and interact with people under pressure

Physical: Frequent standing, and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, products and equipment. Occasionally  push, pull and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must observe details at close range.
