Join our team as the Associate Director of the EMPOWERED program

The Associate Director of the EMPOWERED program will be a grant-funded position providing oversight for daily programmatic activities. It will be the responsibility of the Associate Director to implement and oversee the daily business activities of the EMPOWERED program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities and staff within the EMPOWERED program.
  • Provide supervision and support to program employees.
  • Participate in client management as required.
  • Assist in establishing key metrics for tracking progress.
  • Support management of field and outreach activities.
  • Assess community needs to support target populations.
  • Develop staff policies, roles, and evaluation metrics.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with extensive experience in substance use disorder, pregnancy, and postpartum care.
  • 2+ years managing grant-funded programs.
  • 2+ years supervising staff working with underserved populations.
  • 5+ years working with pregnant and postpartum individuals with substance use disorder.
  • Proficiency in quality improvement data systems and staff training.
  • Experience engaging high-risk clients and developing underrepresented groups.
  • Familiarity with university-community partnerships and health disparities.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional leadership skills in fostering positive work environments.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, and train high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of health and social service systems and barriers faced by underserved populations.
  • Understanding of program outcome measurement and evaluation.
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.

  • Full-time position with reliable attendance
  • May require occasional duties outside regular hours.
