  5. Able to deal tactfully with participants by phone and in person
  6. Ability to work with staff as a team
  7. Computer data entry software skills
  8. Enthusiastic and supportive in dealing with clients and staff

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Documenting all phone inquiries and linkage on required forms for transit and Senior Center
  • Assist with entering accurate data and transit/classroom attendance daily
  • Assisting with any combination of the following:

    a. Dispatching transit origins and destinations to drivers;
  1. Greeting new members, providing facility tours, distributing membership cards, updating

    newsletter enrollment, member profiles, etc.;

  1. Follow-up phone calls, as needed, regarding transit schedules or new members
  • Assisting seniors with completing individual needs assessment forms, applications for commodities, Emergency Food, etc.
  • Assisting Executive Director and Program Managers with program or service delivery
  • Assisting with noon meal-order and distribution
  • Assisting with any duty wanting in carrying out the successful operation of the organization (assist staff with locking and securing facility at the end of work day)
  • Knowledge of all WOSC and WOPT Policies and Procedures, geographical area, and parish service providers necessary for service delivery

Work Schedule: up to 25 hours weekly with no fringe benefits (May be allowed to make up hours the week following holiday closings).
