KSA is searching for a CAD or Senior CAD Technician with expertise in aviation production/design OR an individual with experience with transportation projects and a willingness to learn aviation. KSA has a variety of exciting ongoing projects, and we are seeking candidates with advanced proficiency in streets/roads, drainage, and airfield/aviation design as well as having surface and point file manipulation experience.

Requirements:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide CAD production support for our projects relating to new runway/taxiway design, existing paving improvements and expansions, airfield lighting, hangar design, fencing, and experience designing and/or management of the design of drainage structures associated with airfield as culverts, storm drains, and detention systems.
  • Under the direction of senior design staff and engineers, produce high quality and accurate CAD files for airport design plans including plan and profiles, grading and drainage, markings, NAVAIDS, lighting, and related design elements that are typical of an airport construction drawing set.
  • Ability to work with a team or independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering construction plans.
  • Applies technical expertise to produce and review project production files.
  • Ensure project compliance with all KSA practices and quality, safety and governmental design standards.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience in aviation engineering or transportation CAD production.
  • Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D among other AutoDesk software.
  • Familiar with MS Office Software (TEAMS, Word, Excel).

Preferences

  • Have surface manipulation, site grading, and corridor modeling experience.
  • Experience working with ArcGIS.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
