Precision Imaging Centers is currently looking for a Medical Records Office Assistant to work Full Time at our Fleming Island Center, 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Position Overview

Assists the administrative offices with Medical Records, Data Entry, Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Gmail to filter and compile information contained in outpatient diagnostic Radiology records.

The Medical Records Office Assistant receives routine functional guidance from the Call Center/Scheduling Manager to sort and compile data from patient records and documents.
Manual dexterity is required, as is the ability to concentrate on detail in the midst of other activities, while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality of patient's information.

● Using databases and digital records to filter, find, sort, obtain and compile records as directed by management-50%
● Reviewing each record and checking for accuracy when entering or transferring information to generate reports or compile information- 30%
● Reviewing and understanding compliance, training, updates and reading emails- 20%

Non-Essential Job Functions

● Intaking faxes (If a secondary assignment)
● Answering Emails (If a secondary assignment)

Requirements

Education Required
● Graduation from high school or equivalent is required


Previous Related Work Experience Required (include number of years)

  • Experience in computer keyboarding is required 2+ years
  • A working knowledge of programs like Microsoft Excel and Gmail 2+ years
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a similar role in a medical records office


Other Skills/Abilities
● Strong written communication

● Strong Computer skills (proficient in typing, operating two monitors, moving between multiple tabs/screens, shortcut keys for PC, etc.)

● Ability to work within Google and its suite of products; as well as Microsoft Excel

● Ability to multitask and focus on the task at hand with speed and accuracy

● Work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Physical and Working Requirements of the Position (such as job location, lifting, standing, etc.)
● Extended sitting and standing.

Work Availability / hours required (standard, evenings, weekends, split shift, etc.)
● Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, other hours business needs.

Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working with insurance authorization departments and contracts desirable.
● Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical diagnostic procedures, medical database programs/software, health care billing and running or generating reports based on patient data.
● Previous experience in a health care administrative or office environment is preferred. (e.g.,physician office, clinic or hospital)
