Trueline's client, a leading global law firm with expertise in insurance and liability disputes, is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate to join their team in Austin or Houston. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a prestigious firm that is expanding its capabilities in the state.

What You'll Do as the Insurance Defense Associate:

  • Represent insurance companies in coverage and defense litigation.
  • Handle diverse types of insurance coverage matters, such as excess and surplus lines, general liability, construction defect, D&O, environmental, personal and advertising injury claims in Texas.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend court appearances.
  • Manage cases in federal court.
  • Potentially handle arbitration and trial proceedings.

You'll Succeed as the Insurance Defense Associate if you Have:

  • At least 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (Louisiana license a plus).
  • Superior research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with general defense litigation (preferred).
  • Practical case management experience in federal court (preferred).
  • Arbitration and trial experience (beneficial).
