Automotive Shop Foreman - Mi Gente Auto Finance
This position is responsible for driving the growth of the business by improving the operational efficiency and consistency of the customer vehicle repair process through effective shop management and adherence to Mei Group’s diagnostic and reconditioning processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, Manage, and Develop Technician team to achieve production goals, improve skill set and individual and team performance
- Ensures that all positions are properly always staffed
- Controls the flow of vehicles through the Customer Service Shop process by proper distribution of technician workload MVI starts, MVI Diagnostic, Mechanical Completions, Parts Return cars, Recheck Vehicles and Heavy Labor Distribution
- Achieves daily and weekly production targets in mechanical work zone
- Maintains Tech billed hours per unit and accuracy at or below Mei Group standards
- Oversees the vehicle Approval Process for mechanical inspection and manages vehicle priority dispatching using the Mei Group production system
- Partner with third party vendors to provide direction for mechanical production expectations and coverage as needed
- Utilize reports, analyzes information, and monitors trends to identify opportunities in buyer and vendor impact.
- Plan and schedule repair work and assign GPS Installers to vehicles that match their skill level to ensure quality
- Drives team and store performance by maintaining comeback standards and goals at or below company targets
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Complete provided training in all areas of the production process. Multi-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environment. 5 Year of experience as a manager or Automotive Lead Technician. Must have basic computer skills. Must have a valid Driver License and a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Working Conditions:
- May require walking or standing for an extended period
- Combination of both indoor and outdoor environment, including working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions
- Rotating schedule with shifts that will include, weekends, holidays, and 12-hour days
Schedule/Job Type:
- Full-Time
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Compensation: $72,000 (Depending on Experience)
