As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall guest experience by ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Your primary responsibility will involve maintaining the cleanliness and safety of all guest rooms and public areas, adhering to the hotel's high standards. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, possess strong organizational skills, and be reliable in their duties, with a strong commitment to keeping the hotel in immaculate condition.

Compensation:

$18 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up a cleaning cart with supplies for daily use, constantly organizes carts, and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways, in order to maintain a clean and presentable facility at all times.
  • Wash shower walls and tub, cleans toilet(s) and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sink(s) and walls.
  • Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenities. Restock literature that has been removed or soiled by previous guests to ensure hotel standards for arriving guests.
  • Wash all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
  • Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners.
  • Strip bed of all linen and remake with fresh linen. Checking bedspread, blankets and bed pads for cleanliness and replacing if soiled. Lift mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under bed.
  • Check closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle, overhead shelves, and restocking the guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets, and pillows.
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture in order to vacuum the entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and hard reaching areas.
  • Monitor Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels are maintained.
  • Maintaining close communication and interaction with Front Desk and Engineering departments, reporting all maintenance issues.
  • Inspects the cleaning and servicing of all guest rooms and inspects all vacant rooms daily.
  • Prepare and complete all reports needed
  • Identifies all cleaning defects and reassigns them to the responsible Room Attendant.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Housemen, ensuring that they are working
  • appropriately with room attendants, and that they are completing all daily
  • Houseman duties/special projects.
  • Overseeing the Laundry Department and all its functions.
  • Participates in energy conservation efforts.
  • Respects Hotel property and work areas by keeping them clean, well maintained, stocked, and properly stored.
  • Eliminates waste of supplies.
  • Assists in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
  • Prior Housekeeping Supervisory/Management experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience in an upscale, full-service hotel environment strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of housekeeping operations, to include managing inventories, special needs of VIP guests, room assignments, inspections, safety, and health standards.
  • Ability to teach employees importance of, and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests.
  • Able to set priorities for the Housekeeping team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing quick turns and high occupancies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA.

DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview is a 156-room full-service hotel located in the Riverview Square development, steps from Austin Peay State University and FM Bank Arena in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. It will comfortably accommodate groups of up to 250, and the meeting space features two ballrooms, a boardroom, and a breakout space, as well as an outdoor terrace.
