Overview:

This position requires licensure by the AZ Board of behavioral health in Counseling or Social Work.

The Clinical Supervisor/Therapist is responsible for providing oversight of all clinical functions of the facility. 

Also, for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, has knowledge
of the organization, and directs activities within the facility in accordance with standards of State and
Federal regulations.
Furthermore, the Clinical Supervisor/Therapist will be responsible for meeting with clients during their
time at the facility. The responsibility of the position requires that this individual assist clients in
recognizing that substance abuse is a disease. Clinical Supervisor/Therapist will motivate clients to
actively participate in their recovery process, assist them with learning new skills, gain knowledge to
improve their lives so they can live successfully without relying on alcohol or drugs.
This person will be a highly trained mental health professional who helps clients deal with Substance
abuse and behavioral issues, processing trauma, and grief. This individual will seek to secure a long-term
solution to mental and emotional disorders and a wide variety of issues. Clinical Supervisor/Therapist
will seek to modify perceptions of behavior, as well as improve communication among families in crisis.
Accountability: CEO, COO, and staff
Duties:
• Responsible for clinical staff and oversight of clinical administrative duties
• Oversee and manage EMR compliance for clinical documentation (treatment plans, BPS, etc.)
• Supervisor clinical staff and clinical outcomes
• Works closely with administrative and clinical team to ensure that clients are stable,
comfortable, and progressing through their detox appropriately
• Maintains an effective clinical organizational structure and delegates appropriate authority for
completion of assigned responsibilities
• Heads clinical staff meetings
• Familiar with community resources
• Seeks corrective criticism and has the ability to evaluate suggestions objectively
• Implements plans for performance improvement
• Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing basis
• Develops cost-effective methods to provide service
• Provides training for staff development
• Facilitates communication with ancillary services
• Recruits and interviews prospective employees
• Attends clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally
• Meets with clinical staff weekly
• Works collaboratively with the Program Director and COO
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to communicate these procedures
clearly and accurately
• Displays ability to direct and supervise Program activities
• Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and clients
• Performs other tasks as assigned
• Develop, monitor, and implement individualized plans in collaboration with client and clinical
team members
• Conduct individual, group, and, substance abuse therapy
• Refer clients or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary
Required Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Licensed by the Arizona Board
of Behavioral Health as a Behavioral Health Professional. Minimum 2 years’ work experience in SUD
(Substance Use Disorder) Recovery field. CPR/First Aid Certificate required. Must have a current TB Test
and a valid state driver’s license. Should be proficient in a variety of office software (email tools,
spreadsheets and databases) and hardware (copy, fax, computer, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications: Holds a master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling. Has a minimum of two
years' experience in healthcare. Further licensed in related fields.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk intermittently. May be required to lift up to
25lbs. May be required to ascend/descend stairs.
