Responsible for analyzing sales data and stock to maintain agreed upon supply, tracking shipments and deliveries to determine accurate lead time information to be relayed to merchandising team and stores, and insuring payable accounts are paid in a timely manner utilizing the terms of payment given.


Red Knight Distribution Center is looking for smart, detailed oriented, and independent Inventory Management & Purchasing associate to join our team. The Inventory Management & Purchasing associate will ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the Stock Control office and DC items pertaining to our department. As a Inventory Management & Purchasing Associate, you will:

  • Complete daily operations such as but not limited to processing orders, updating lead time reports, providing accurate data on discontinued, dropped and overstocked items, and processing invoices and making payments within terms.
  • Ensure freight rate, pricing and all information received directly from vendor is relayed accurately and often to desired recipient as well as updated in our inventory management system.
  • Monitor credits (to include service credits and returns), discounts, pricing, and new model releases and adjust processes accordingly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all vendor representatives for timely and cooperative relationships between companies.
  • Communicate directly with Merchandising Team regarding discounts and price changes, to include special sales events.
  • Provide reports monthly to help track products, costs and expenditures as needed or identified by the DC Operations Manager, Merchandising Manager, or Director of Retail and Merchandising.
  • Consistently collect and log data that is pertinent to end of month reporting for DC, to include credit memo log reported directly to DC Operations Manager.
  • Track monthly sales, both written and delivered for a minimum of 90 days to accurately determine stock levels for floored items, adjusting to extended lead times as necessary.
    • Use data provided by Merchandising Manager on Turns Report to accurately update stock based on stores needs/items sold.

Requirements:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Minimum of 6 months working in an office, or customer service environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Docs.
  • Cheerful, friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
