Summary

This is a part-time contract remote role. The freelance copywriter will have the opportunity to create boundary-breaking work. Taste, intelligence, and a keen eye are critical. Potential partners should have excellent communication skills and be a smart strategic thinker with the ability to conceptually generate ideas. The copywriter will partner with an Art Director (or other creative team members) to provide conceptual vision across a wide range of work, including broadcast, print, digital, social and immersive experiences. The work needs to demonstrate a high level of craft and elegance, with unexpected and bold thinking. They will see through to execution in partnership with production, strategy, account management and with close mentorship by the Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Develop original content for advertisements, marketing campaigns, blog posts, newsletters, and social.
  • Collaborate with the creative and strategy teams to brainstorm and conceptualize innovative advertising/communication strategies.
  • Write clear, persuasive, and original copy that aligns with clients’ brand and marketing goals.
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure it is free of errors and maintains a consistent tone and style for each individual project.
  • Manage multiple projects, from concept through completion, under tight deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Advertising or similar creative writing program.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a copywriting role at creative advertising agencies focused on conceptual campaign and activations primarily across social media.
  • Skilled in developing high-level brand concepts as well as articulating those concepts in executions across various media channels.
  • Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating smart, brand-building ideas and executions.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of craft.
  • Experience taking projects from concept through activation.
  • Can work autonomously and entrepreneurially.
  • Possess a confidence while presenting creative decisions to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technically proficient in all of the necessary job-related software and internet applications associated with writing outputs and creative advertising execution.
